I’m back! Originally I began volunteering in 2014 as I missed being around horses and wanted to be involved in something I was passionate about. I grew up in Northwestern Pennsylvania & had horses most of my life. Joining the board was a natural progression as I became more involved with supporting the cause. I quickly fell in love with the thoroughbred personality and even ended up with 3 of my own.

 

In my spare time, (what’s spare time?) I like to hike, walk, horseback ride, of course, spend time with my husband, our 5 horses, 2 mini donkeys, chickens, turkeys, dogs and cat.

 

I am inspired by accountability and hard work.

 

My super power is clumsiness…if I can drop it, bang it, trip over it, hit my head on it, catch my belt loop on it, stub my toe on it…you can bet I’ll do it!

 

I can’t live without caffeine & tacos.

 

My credentials are: Currently, I am Sr. Risk Manager with a Financial Technology company. In 2024, I started up a horse trailer rental business Scootin’ Around AZ and a beverage burro business in 2024 Arizona Event Burros. Shameless plug 😆

 

When I was young, my picture was on the front page of our local newspaper. I was riding my pony Scout bareback in the middle of winter while wearing a snowmobile suit when a reporter from the newspaper saw us. He got out of his car and asked to take my photo, but because he was a stranger, I wouldn’t talk to him! He followed me back to my grandparents’ house that was just up the street to ask them if he could take a picture for the newspaper.
