More About Michele
I joined the ATHA Board because my boss was pushing me to join a chamber of commerce or a board of something I was passionate about, and since I’ve always been passionate about horses and had been volunteering at ATHA for about a year, it felt natural to join this board.
Growing up in PA, I had always been around horses and after moving to Phoenix, I had very minimal contact with them. I missed them and wanted to get involved with horses again, so after I bought my first house in North Phoenix, I found ATHA on Facebook and started volunteering.
In my spare time, I like to hike, walk, horseback ride of course, spend time with my husband, our 2 dogs and 3 horses. Plus, I like volunteering at ATHA and spending time with those gorgeous horses.

My credentials are:
Currently, I am a Risk Analyst Supervisor with Fidelity National Information Services where I facilitate various IT risks assessments for banks across the country.
Before that, I spent about 17+ years in retail banking where I worked my way up from teller to a Branch Manager, specializing in Consumer and Small Business lending.
A special childhood memory is when I was young, my picture was on the front page of our local newspaper.
I was riding my pony Scout bareback in the middle of winter while wearing a snowmobile suit when a reporter from the newspaper saw us. He got out of his car and asked to take my photo, but because he was a stranger, I wouldn’t talk to him!
He followed me back to my grandparents’ house that was just up the street to ask them if he could take a picture for the newspaper.
