Decar Run

He has the looks, he has good blood lines, he has the temperament, and he was well cared for.  We knew he would be easy to place...but in only 14 days, he found his forever home.

He is a 5 year old stallion, dark bay, and over 16h.  His dam is Cherokee Fire by Cherokee Run and his sire is Decharchy.  We have Alki Run whose sire is Cherokee Run and now we have his nephew.

He had 9 starts with 2 seconds and 2 thirds.  He raced at Emerald Downs and Turf Paradise.  He has a very sweet temperament and Kim Hendricks said he trailered very well to his new foster home at Jenny Reeves in Cave Creek.

His owner loved and gave him great care.  She decided to retire him from racing and called us to find a loving home for him.  We picked up Decar Run on May 6 at Turf Paradise and gelded him on the 9th.  And nearby.....Laurette's favorite thing to do is to give off-track Thoroughbreds a new career.  She was excited to learn about Decar Run and that he was in a foster home just a few blocks from where she is training.

Laurette came to meet him on May 20th and knew he was the one!  It became official on May she walked him to his new home.

On 9th February, 2015 Decar joined his stablemate Proud with their new adopters Chris and Tatjana in Cave Creek.

2019 Update
Decar and Proud move to Costa Rica with their Adopters, Chris and Tatjana

Per Chris - "Proud and Decar arrived safely in Costa Rica -via Bob Hubbard Transportation, Creech Transportation, Jacaranda Farm Homestead Florida, and DHL.

They traveled with a co-load we were able to arrange and with whom they quarantined with in Florida.. so they had a buddy with them! Tristoni, a warm-blood going to Guanacaste, Costa Rica. Here are a few pics of these international jet setters! They did very well, well behaved and arrived fit and healthy.

They will spend 10 days in quarantine at Club Hipico in Santa Ana before finally coming down to us in the south - about 4 hours and then they will be in their new home. We are so proud of them and so glad we are all reunited again!"
